Returns and cancellation
Draft — have your adviser confirm before launch. In particular, confirm the line below about which items are "clearly personalised", which decides whether an item can be returned for a change of mind.
Changing your mind
Because you buy from us at a distance, you have the right to cancel most orders within 14 days for any reason. This right comes from the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
- The 14 days start the day after your order arrives (if it arrives in more than one parcel, the day after the last one).
- To cancel, tell us clearly that you want to cancel — an email to (not set), a message through the site, or a letter to the address on our contact page. You may use the form at the bottom of this page, but you do not have to.
- You then have 14 days from telling us to send the items back. You pay the cost of return postage. We recommend a tracked service, because the items are your responsibility until they reach us.
- We refund within 14 days of getting the items back (or of you sending us proof of posting, if that is sooner). We refund what you paid for the items and the cost of our cheapest standard delivery; if you chose a dearer delivery service, the difference is not refunded.
- You can handle the items to check them as you would in a shop. If an item comes back worn, washed or damaged beyond that, we may reduce the refund by the value that has been lost.
- Refunds go back to the card or PayPal account you paid with. There is no charge for a refund.
Items that cannot be returned for a change of mind
The law does not give a right to cancel for goods that are made to your specifications or clearly personalised. For our items that means:
- An item with your own words, name or picture printed on it — anything you typed into the personalisation box, or a picture you uploaded — is made for you alone and cannot be returned for a change of mind. Please check your spelling and your picture before you order; we print exactly what you sent.
- A stock design on the size and colour you chose, with nothing personal added, can be returned within 14 days as above.
This never affects your rights if something is faulty, which are set out next.
Faulty, damaged or not as described
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 everything we sell must be of satisfactory quality, fit for its purpose and as described. If it is not:
- Within 30 days of delivery you can reject the item for a full refund, including delivery.
- After that, we will repair or replace it at our cost, within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to you. If that does not fix it, you can have a price reduction or reject the item for a refund.
- A fault that appears within six months is treated as having been there when the item was delivered, unless we can show otherwise.
Personalised items are covered too: a misprint of the words you typed, a print that peels or a garment with a fault is our responsibility, not yours.
To claim, contact us with your order number and a photograph of the problem. We pay the return postage for a faulty item.
How to cancel — the form
