How reviews work
Draft — have your adviser confirm before launch. Check the paragraph about earlier reviews against how yours were collected, and that the stage named below is the one the shop launches with.
Who can leave a review
Only a customer who bought a design from this shop can rate or review it. The site checks this against the order itself: a rating can be left for each item on a paid order once the order has reached the stage as soon as payment is confirmed, from the order page or from the design's own page. Nobody else — not a visitor, not someone who was given the item, not the shop — can add a rating to a design through the site.
What "Verified buyer" means
Every review carries the label Verified buyer, and it means the review is tied to a real order for that design:
- A review left on this site is tied to the order line it was written for.
- A review left with us before this website launched, which we have added by hand, is matched to the order it came from in our earlier shop's records. We keep that order's reference as evidence. Those reviews are shown exactly as they were written and dated, on the design they were about, whatever the stars.
No rewards for reviewing
We never offer a discount, a gift or anything else for leaving a review, and we ask every buyer who reaches that stage in the same way. Nobody is asked because we expect a good review.
How the average is worked out
The stars beside a design are the plain average of every rating that design has, including ratings left without any words, and the count beside it is the number of ratings. Nothing is weighted and no review is left out of the average because of its score.
How reviewers are named
A review shows the reviewer's first name and the initial of their last name, for example "Sam T.", together with the date and what they bought. If you would like your name taken off a review you left, contact us.
What we may change or remove
We remove a review only when it is not a genuine review of the design — for example when it contains someone's personal details, abuse, or words about something other than the item — or when the reviewer asks us to. We never remove or edit a review because it is negative.
Reporting a review
If you think a review breaks these rules, contact us with the design's name and what the review says, and we will look at it.
